Schmitt Söhne Glühwein is a traditional red wine drink that is best enjoyed hot once it starts getting cold outside. The popular recipe for Glühwein has been created around 1420 by a German nobleman. Glühwein is prepared from red wine, heated and spiced with cinnamom sticks, cloves, star anise, citrus, sugar and vanilla pods. Glühwein is a unique, aromatic spiced wine offered during the Winter and Holiday Seasons and is standard at all German Christmas markets. 8.5% ABV
