The Good Pour is looking for a Retail Sales Associate ready to be the heartbeat of our guest experience — someone with natural warmth, a curiosity for wine and spirits, and a passion for hospitality who makes every guest feel instantly welcome.
Whether a guest is hunting for a rare whiskey, planning a party or picking out a weeknight wine, you meet them where they are with an easy, unstuffy recommendation. From in-store tastings to helping guests use our app to support their favorite charity, you turn everyday purchases into real-world impact. The Good Pour is a wine and spirits marketplace that infuses retail with philanthropy. With a fresh approach to the industry, TGP is proud to offer a better way to shop for wine, beer and spirits — with beautifully designed stores, dedicated gifting areas, dynamic events and exciting tasting experiences — coupled with a better way to support nonprofits. That's because we donate a portion of every purchase to the charity of each guest's choice. In other words, we're not your average liquor store.
Key responsibilities
- Create a shoppable, inspiring and welcoming experience
- Answer questions and make personalized product recommendations
- Operate the point-of-sale system quickly and accurately
- Increase basket size through trust, connection and thoughtful attach programs
- Build a loyal following of repeat guests
- Help keep shelves stocked, displays engaging, and the store spotless
- Participate in tastings, promotions and store events
- Receive, unpack and put away deliveries, and help load catering and event orders
- Represent The Good Pour brand with pride by sharing our app, mission and charitable efforts
- Complete ongoing product knowledge and service training
- Stay on top of wine and spirits trends, new products and industry developments
What success looks like
- Guests ask for you by name
- Guests feel comfortable asking questions and trying new brands
- Sales and basket size increase through education and trust
- Events and tastings drive real traffic and conversion
Who you are
- 21+ years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in hospitality, bartending, serving, retail or sales
- Friendly, guest-focused and service-driven
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of wine, beer and spirits — or excited to learn
- Comfortable working both independently and with a team
Physical requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and carry heavy cases up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb, bend and reach
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
