Seelbach's Private Reserve 17 Year Single Barrel Bourbon is a Kentucky straight bourbon selected from the mature barrel group commonly referred to by enthusiasts as "Buff Turkey" due to its Wild Turkey style profile and mash bill characteristics. This release was aged for 17 years and bottled at true single barrel cask strength without chill filtration or proof reduction. The nose presents dark cherry, maple syrup, orange peel, leather, tobacco, and mature oak with exceptional concentration. The full bodied palate delivers layers of caramel, honey, baking spice, dark fruit, roasted nuts, and seasoned oak balanced by its elevated proof. The finish is long and complex with lingering tobacco, black tea, oak spice, and dark caramel that showcase the depth of a well-aged cask strength bourbon. ABV: 64.0%.
