Each private selection comes from an individually chosen barrel, giving the whiskey its own distinct character while retaining the classic Sazerac Rye profile. It presents aromas of clove, vanilla, anise, pepper, and subtle citrus followed by a bold palate of candied spice, rye grain, orange peel, and sweet oak. The finish is smooth and lingering with licorice, pepper, vanilla, and warming spice. As a private barrel selection, it offers a more distinctive and collectible expression than the standard release while maintaining the approachable balance and spice driven character associated with Sazerac Rye.
