Made from regional espadin agave that is baked underground in a conical stone oven for four days, ground by horse-drawn tahona and fermented with natural yeast in pine tinas. Once fermented, the tepache is distilled twice into mezcal, and then a third time during which cocoa from the coast of Oaxaca is added, producing a distillate with aromas of bitter chocolate, herbs and a hint of smokiness. 46.0% ABV
