Raise a Glass to Runway to Hope

For children battling pediatric cancer in Central Florida, a night on the runway isn't just a special occasion, it's a reminder that they are seen, celebrated, and surrounded by people who are fighting for them.

We are proud to shine a spotlight on Runway to Hope, a local Orlando nonprofit dedicated to providing direct support to children and families impacted by pediatric cancer, while working toward a cure.

Founded in 2010 by Mark and Josie NeJame, Runway to Hope was built on a simple but powerful belief: that funds raised locally should stay local, and that the families living through the hardest moments deserve real, tangible help. Through their Family Assistance Program, they provide direct financial aid to cover everyday necessities — gas, utilities, rent, car payments, and in the most heartbreaking circumstances, funeral and end-of-life expenses.

Their signature event, the annual Spring Fashion Soirée, brings together more than 175 children currently battling cancer for a night where cancer doesn't get to be the main character. Dressed up and walking the runway, these kids get to just be kids. Since its founding, Runway to Hope has pledged over $4.3 million to Central Florida's three children's hospitals — Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, AdventHealth for Children, and Nemours Children's Hospital — and has provided more than $850,000 in direct family assistance.
