Craft Cocktails to Elevate Your July 4th Weekend

Summer’s biggest party is just around the corner, and this year’s Independence Day hits a little different. As we gather with friends and family to celebrate America’s monumental 250th birthday, it’s time to elevate your backyard bashes, beach hangs and poolside lounges with world-class drinks.

Whether you are hosting by the water or next to a sizzling grill, these themed cocktail recipes bring premium flavors, proud American craftsmanship, and festive style straight to your summer glass.

Star-Spangled Sipper

Ingredients:

• 2 oz McQueen and the Violet Fog Gin
• 4 oz Soda water
• Raspberries
• Sugar

Method:  In a tall glass, muddle raspberries and sugar. Fill with ice. Pour in soda water to fill glass ¾ full. Top with indigo gin.

Watermelon Whiskey Smash

Ingredients:

Serves 1
• 2 oz Woodford Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey
• 2oz Watermelon juice
• ½ oz Simple syrup
• ½ oz Lime juice
Soda water
• 4-6 mint leaves

Serves 8
• 16 oz Woodford Reserve Straight Bourbon Whiskey
• 16 oz Watermelon juice
• 4 oz Simple syrup
• 4 oz Lime juice
• Topo Chico soda water, to top
• 32-48 mint leaves

Method: In a cocktail shaker, add mint leaves and simple syrup and muddle thoroughly. Pour in your bourbon, watermelon juice and lime juice. Add ice and give it a good shake. Strain into a rocks glass over ice and top with soda water. Garnish with watermelon and a mint sprig.

Prosecco Popsicles

Ingredients:

• 1 cup lemonade
• Strawberries
• Blueberries
• 2 lemons
• 1 bottle Mionetto Prosecco
• 9 oz plastic cups or 3 oz dixie cups

Method: In your choice of plastic/paper cups, add fruit and fill with 3/4 Prosecco. Top with lemonade. Poke your popsicle stick through a lemon slice and place into each cup. Cover and freeze for 4-6 hours or overnight. Best enjoyed with good friends by the pool.
