The Prisoner Wine Company

While analyzing soil and pursuing a degree in ecology and systematic biology, Chrissy Wittman fell in love with winemaking. Her unconventional path into the industry guides her passion today.

“When it comes to winemaking, I am pretty open-minded and progressive. Remembering tradition is good, but I don’t let it hold me back. I like to learn through experimentation when trying to make the best wine. It’s not about the way we have always done it.”

—       Chrissy Wittman, Senior Director of Winemaking
