"Extra Credit" Teacher Appreciation Nomination
Starting April 6, nominations are open for the Extra Credit Giveaway —Teacher Appreciation Contest. We're asking parents, students, colleagues and community members across Central Florida to tell us about the teacher who makes a difference every single day — the one who goes above and beyond, thinks creatively, builds community, and makes their students feel genuinely seen.
Eligible nominees are currently active K–12 classroom teachers or educators at a public, private or charter school in the Central Florida area — Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Brevard and Volusia counties.
Nominating is free and easy. Here's the full contest timeline:
- April 6 — Nominations open. Click here to submit your nominee.
- April 24 — Nominations close at 11:59 PM ET
- April 27–May 1 — Selection period. The BOHO Foundation reviews all eligible submissions
- May 6 or 7 — Surprise award presentation at the winning teacher's school
To nominate, fill out the official form with a short description of why your teacher deserves the recognition — between 150 and 500 words. One nomination per person, per teacher. No purchase necessary.
