The Good Pour is teaming up with Jeff's Bagel Run and the BOHO Foundation, The Good Pour’s 501(c)(3) foundation, to celebrate one outstanding Central Florida educator — and we want your help finding them.

Teachers don't need a special occasion to show up for their students. But Teacher Appreciation Week is our occasion to show up for them — and this year, we're making it count.
At The Good Pour, we believe in giving back — it's woven into everything we do. So we reached out to our friends at Jeff's Bagel Run with an idea to recognize a truly exceptional Central Florida teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Starting April 6, nominations are open for the Extra Credit Giveaway —Teacher Appreciation Contest. We're asking parents, students, colleagues and community members across Central Florida to tell us about the teacher who makes a difference every single day — the one who goes above and beyond, thinks creatively, builds community, and makes their students feel genuinely seen.

Who We're Looking For
Eligible nominees are currently active K–12 classroom teachers or educators at a public, private or charter school in the Central Florida area — Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake, Brevard and Volusia counties.
When our selection committee (made up of members from the BOHO Foundation and The Good Pour) evaluates nominations, here's what they'll be looking for:
- Meaningful impact on students' lives, academic growth, or personal well-being
- Dedication and commitment that goes beyond the job description
- Creative, innovative approaches to teaching and engaging students
- A positive presence in the school community and culture
There's no formula for the "right" nominee — just tell us why your teacher matters, in their own unique way. Write from the heart. Our committee will take it from there.
How It Works
Nominating is free and easy. Here's the full contest timeline:
- April 6 — Nominations open. Click here to submit your nominee.
- April 24 — Nominations close at 11:59 PM ET
- April 27–May 1 — Selection period. The BOHO Foundation and our selection committee reviews all eligible submissions
- May 6 or 7 — Surprise award presentation at the winning teacher's school
To nominate, fill out the official form with a short description of why your teacher deserves the recognition — between 150 and 500 words. One nomination per person, per teacher. No purchase necessary.
A Note on the Surprise
One of our favorite parts of this whole program: the winner won't know it's coming. We'll coordinate with school administration behind the scenes, and then Ray Horal — co-founder of The Good Pour — and Jeff Perera — co-founder of Jeff's Bagel Run — will show up at their school to present the award in person.
Why We're Doing This
The Good Pour was built on a simple idea: that every purchase can be a force for good. We donate a portion of every sale to charities our customers care about, and we look for every opportunity to invest in the communities around our stores. Central Florida's teachers are the foundation of this community, and this is our way of saying so.
